Mr. Mincey was a native of Bullock county, GA, and had been a resident here since 1923. He had been employed by the City of Winter Haven in the maintenance department for more than 20 years. He retired a few years ago because of poor health.
Mr. Mincey was a member of New Smyrna Methodist Church of Uvalde, GA, and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Cedar Crossing, GA.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eula Bell Mincey of Winter Haven; three daughters, Mrs. Alberta Golden of Cairo, GA, Mrs. Henrietta Bridgefort of Auburndale and Mrs. Rucia May of Winter Haven; six sons, William Franklin of Tampa, Emmitt, John E., Clarence B., Edward I, and Ira W. all of Winter Haven,; three sisters, Benie George of Lyons, GA, Mrs. Stella Brooks and Mrs. Velda Gray, both of Uvalde; two brothers, Lonnie and Lawton, both of Uvalde and 35 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock this morning at the Ott-Laughlin funeral chapel with the Rev. T.J. Duncan, pastor of the Assembly of God Church of Eloise, officiating. Masonic services and burial will take place in Uvalde at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
