Mildred found her way to San Marcos, Texas, post World War II with her sister Mavis Atwell. Shortly after arriving in San Marcos she went to work at Williams Drug, where she met her future husband, Malcolm. They were married on Christmas Eve in 1951. They lived in Austin, Texas for a few years while Malcolm finished pharmacy school and later moved back to San Marcos to raise a family and had three children, Ray, David and Linda.
Survived by her children, Ray and David and their wives and children.
