Mary B. Ladner, 81, of Pass Christian has gone to meet her late husband of 54 years, Horace Lee Ladner.
They were the former owners of Mary's Drive Inn in Gulfport for 42 years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Percy Bates, Sr. and Sadie Mason Bates; sister, Dot Atwell; and brother, Oather Bates.
She is survived by her five children, Christine (L.D.) Conn of Pass Christian, MS; Chris (Chris) Caccioppo of Pass Christian, MS; Glenn (Debra) Ladner of Birmingham, AL; Gloria (Sonny) Kirschenheuter of Pass Christian, MS; and Gwendy (Larry) Goldman of Orange beach, AL. She also leaves behind two sisters, Panzie Cuevas and Mildred Scott; one brother Percy Bates, Jr.; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a friend and a wonderful mother and she was always there for us. We will forever miss her and forever be grateful.
