Five of his seven sons survived to adulthood. Friends of Society. Quaker. Son of Joseph E Thorne III and Sarah Ann Foulke. Married Diadamia Ivins on 1 Mar 1753. Surname also spelled Thorne in many records. Served in American Revolution in New Jersey 1st Regiment as a Private.
