The former Lucille Enz was born May 17, 1913 at Denmark, daughter of the late George and Anna Schultz Enz.
Lucille was a 1931 graduate of Denmark High School and a graduate of the Outagamie County Normal School in Kaukauna.
She worked as a schoolteacher for the Bungalow School for three years, a bookkeeper for five years at the Pet Milk Co., a teacher's aide for five years at the Stangel School and as an office worker for five years at the Mirro Co.
Lucille was married to Earl Cherney at Denmark on January 31, 1941 and he preceded her in death on October 4, 1962. Lucille was then married to Harold Laverenz at Milwaukee on September 6, 1972 and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1972.
Lucille was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ and a former member of the church's Women's Guild and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Dale (Nancy) Cherney of Howards Grove; three grandchildren: Barbara (Ron) Clarke of Oconto Falls, Brenda (Tim) O'Brien of Milwaukee and Beth Cherney of St. Louis, MO; one sister-in-law: Bernice Enz of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive.
She was preceded in death by an infant son: Jay Earl Cherney; two sisters: Nora Bishop and Myra DiDio; two brothers: Mark Enz and Alvin Enz; one sister-in-law: Hazel Enz; and one brother-in-law: Otto DiDio.
Cremation with burial of her cremated remains at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Hwy 310 Manitowoc.
