The death Rev. Father J Herlitz, which occurred in St. Louis on the 5th inst, cast a gloom over this whole vicinity. This good man had been pastor of St. Joseph's church here for a number of years and was dearly loved by his congregation and had a warm place in the hearts of all our citizens, who, with the members of the Catholic church, mourn his death.
Father Herlitz was 51 years of age. his funeral took place at Mitchell, last Friday morning, about twenty or more from this place attending.
