Her full name was Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Wilson) Entrekin Kendrick. Lizzie was born to William Wilson and Sarah Bailey.


She married her first husband, James Gideon Entrekin, on 18 May 1871 in Coweta County, GA. They had three children: Mary Jane "Minnie" Entrekin, Marion Preston Entrekin, and Rosa Dell Entrekin. James died in January 7, 1887. Gideon was an Alabama State Convict at the time of his death. He was listed a s resident of Calhoun Co., Alabama.


She then married William R. Kendrick. Their marriage license was issued via Coweta Co., Georgia Marriage Book "L" (1897-1905), page 20 on December 2, 1897. However it was never returned/recorded.

They are enumerated as Husband and Wife in all Census from 1900-1930 in Coweta Co., Georgia.

Bethel News


The remains of Mrs. Lizzie Kendrick who died at her home near White Oak were brought to Bethel on Friday, January 27. The funeral was conducted by Rev. J. A. Eason, of Newnan, after which the body was laid to rest in the church yard. Mrs. Kendrick was eighty four years old and before her marriage she was Miss Lizdie [sp] Wilson.


She leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure. All have our sympathy.
