ERILYNNE BARNUM: A Passion for the Lord
1937-2020

If it was time to speak of great accomplishments or tell the story of her life, we would write endlessly of her as friend, wife, mother, singer, business woman, counselor, leader, preacher, discipler, intercessor, grandmother, and even great grand-mother. Instead, we choose in these brief words to speak of her passion for Jesus and her call from the Lord, in the strength of His might, to urge people to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

Her ministry of proclaiming the glorious riches of the Word of God was never designed for people to see her – but to see Him – so that all might know the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit.

On Thursday, August 6, 2020, Erilynne finished her race, the heavens opened, and “the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” was abundantly supplied to her (2 Peter 1.11).

At her bedside, her husband Thad of 38 years; and four beautiful daughters who love the Lord. With us in spirit, their four remarkable husbands; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild by the names of: Kris (Doug) McDonald; Samantha and Jack Emerson; Jennifer, Shannon, and Megan McDonald; Susan (Tom) Wyskiel; Matthew and Christopher. Jill (Keith) Guinta; Richard and Mark. Jan (Jeff) Buchanan; Emily and Sam Kelsey; Ella Jane Kelsey; Lindsay and Arun Sangan. Erilynne was also blessed to have two surviving brothers, Eric and Larry Forsberg and one sister, Elizabeth Davis who went to be with the Lord in 2009.

We encourage our readers who want to hear the strength of the gospel in her ministry to go to Erilynne’s website at www.call2disciple.com.

The celebration of her life will be four o’clock Monday, August 10, at All Saint’s Church, Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The livestream can be found on All Saint’s Church Pawleys Island streaming on YouTube.

Memorial gifts may be directed to the Friendship Place in Georgetown, South Carolina or the Bridgeport Rescue Mission in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
