The funeral service for Bobby Mullally, age 79 of Ashland, will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Charlie Bolt officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview - Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Mullally passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native and life-long resident of Clay County, he had worked for Mathews Meat Market as a butcher for 16 years and had also worked in the pulpwood industry. Later on, Mr. Mullally worked for Ace Products and retired after 20 years of service. He loved hunting and caring for his horses.
Mr. Mullally is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Mullally of Ashland; three daughters: Rita Campbell (Alford) of Ashland, Marie Gable (Larry) of Millerville and Mary Parris of Ashland; three sons: Rob Mullally (Patricia) of Bluff Springs, Joe Mullally (Robbie) of Barfield and Kevin Mullally of Ashland; one sister, Joyce Avicon of Louisiana; five brothers: Junior Mullally of Lineville, Sonny Mullally (Christine) of Barfield, Ray Mullally of Valley, Royce Mullally of Barfield and Jimmy Mullally (Katherine) of Ashland; 23 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Malon Mullally and Effie Jones Mullally; four sisters: Inez Mitchell, Alice Moore, Frances Watts and Marie Mullally; one brother, Billy Mullally and one grandchild, David Lee Campbell.
Pallbearers will be Randall Thompson, Johnny Holcombe, T J Griffin, Ronald Daughtery, Alford Dywayne Campbell, Jamie Griffin, Frank Campbell and David Daughtery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
