She was born November 21, 1942, to the late James Earl Rodney and Earline Bates Frost Jackson, in Greenwood, Mississippi.
Betty loved her family, and she loved to hear their laughter fill her home. She loved the outdoors and deer hunting. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Brittni Nicole Minchew Bryant; four brothers, Dewayne Jackson, J R Frost, Jr., James Jackson, and Jimmy Lee Frost; and a sister Medie Frances Lawson.
She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Jerry L. Stewart; four children, Randy Stewart and wife Tierra, of Monticello, Carla Sullivan and husband Joe, of Searcy, Lisa Pruitt and husband Rodney, of Little Rock, and Terry Stewart and wife Donna, of Monticello; three brothers, Andrew Jackson and wife Nancy, of Star City, Kenneth Frost and wife Judy, of Clinton, and Joe Frost and wife Lynn, of Monticello; two sisters, Mary Tucker and Sissy Frost Sullivan, both of Monticello; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 28, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery.
