He was born April 26, 1931, at Pickens, a son of the late Roy S. and Maude Howes Hardman.
He was united in marriage, on June 12, 1948, to Annabell Riggs Hardman, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Bob and wife, Eileen Hardman, of Beckley, Gary, and wife, Jean Hardman, of Bellingham, Wash., and Randy, and wife, Denise Hardman, of Buckhannon; one daughter, Donna, and husband, Danny Wagoner, of Buckhannon; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Ed Hardman of Buckhannon, Don Hardman of Berkley Springs, and Charlie Hardman of Maryland; and two sisters, Hilda Dawson and Nora Fultz, both of Buckhannon, also survive.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, one great-grandson, five brothers and one sister.
Mr. Hardman was retired from Upshur Coal and a was a lifelong farmer. In addition to his family he dearly loved his farm and cattle.
Friends were received at Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Saturday. Funeral services were Sunday with the Rev. Robert Heavner officiating. Interment followed in the Bailey Cemetery.
