Hallie Conner Edmondson McGahey

Hallie Conner Edmondson McGahey, 84, of Winona, died July 14, 1999, of heart failure at Winona Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. McGahey was born on December 19, 1914 to Howard Edmondson and Nannie Gus Conner. She was a member of Moore Memorial Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Winona Garden Club. Mrs. McGahey was a graduate of Blue Mountain College. She was a retired florist and former math teacher at Winona Public Schools.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 16 at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Banes, Dr. Harold Richardson and Rev. Gladwin Clark officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.

Mrs. McGahey is survived by her husband, Mr. T.L. McGahey; two daughters, Nan McGahey Baker, and Louise McGahey Caffey, both of Winona: one sister, Katie Edmonson Carver of Jackson, one brother, Joe Moore Edmondson of Collierville, Tenn. and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joe Jon Carter, Phil Carter, Jon Watt Carter, Jimmy Cole, Bobby Smith, Wayne Gaines, Dave Billingsley, and Henry Allman.

Memorials may be made to Moore Memorial United Methodist Church, PO Box 467, Winona, MS 38967.
