1900
On the 1900 Census, at about 18 years old, he is listed as a day laborer living at home.
1908
While working as a brakeman on the Pennsylvania Railroad, he was injured near Newport, Perry County, and was transferred to Harrisburg Hospital. His parents rushed to the hospital and were able to see him before he died three days after the accident. He was only 24 years old, and had been married less than six months to Bessie Kephart of Huntingdon.
I have a family photo dated 6 Sep 1952. This is four days after the anniversary of his death. From this photo I concluded that his family had a family reunion every year near the time of the anniversary of his death.
He is buried beside his parents, Jacob and Wilhelmina "Minnie" HALL.
