He was the oldest child of David & Martha [Graves] McIntire. He married Margaret Buxton 13 Nov 1734 and then Eunice Hayward 20 Feb. 1738. He had at least 8 chidlren, all born in Reading. His farm was in the North precinct. David was a Highway surveyor and a Fence Viewer.
His Grandfather, Phillip MackIntire was a Scottish Highlander, one of a large number of prisoners, sent to this Country by Oliver Cromwell following the Battle of Dunbar in 1650. Phillip settled in Reading about 1660.
