Carmie Jean Chandler, 46, who was a homemaker in Havre, died Wednesday evening at the Northern Montana Hospital due to pneumonia.

Traditional wake service were Thursday night at the Rocky Boy Senior Center. Her funeral service was 11 a.m. Friday at the Rocky Boy Senior Center. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Carmie was born Sept. 1, 1963, in Havre the daughter of James and Bessie (Piapot) Chandler. She attended school at Rocky Boy; Chemanah and Clear Field Job Corps. Carmie liked music spending time with her family and friends, beading and cooking. She was a Native American member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boy. She is preceded in death by her father James Chandler and husband George Allery. She is survived by her mother Bessie (Piapot) Chandler of Rocky Boy, Mont. She is also survived by her daughters, Jennifer Wilkinson of Havre, Chereese Allery of Rocky Boy, Rebecca Allery of Rocky Boy; her sons, Nathan Chandler (Yuphat) of Havre, Clayton Allery of Rocky Boy, Zachery Rosette of Box Elder, Mont .; her sisters, Barbara (Joe) Dubois of Box Elder, Mont., Selena Valdez of Havre, Mont., and Elaine Chandler of Rocky Boy, Mont .; her brothers, Algie (Margaret) Piapot, Larry (Marlene Piapot) Kenny, Russell (Teresa) Piapot, all of Rocky Boy. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Corman and Alera Chandler.
