Charles A. Dixon

Piscataway - Charles Alvin Dixon, 70, of Dupont Avenue, died Wednesday (May 12, 1982) at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield after a short illness.

He was born in Newark, DE., and settled in Piscataway in 1954. He was employed by Union Carbide at the Bound Brook plant, where he worked for 37 years as a lead operator in the manufacture of sheet vinyl. He retired in 1978.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of New Market.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Howell Dixon; a brother, George of Clearwater, FL., and two sisters, Theresa Schrum of New Brunswick and Mary Harrison of Wharton.
