To Perpetuate The Memory/ Of/ Peggy McKee/ Who Departed this life/ on the 15th Day of Sep 1795/ This Monument is erected/ by one from whom this/ Tribute of Graditude and/ Respect is due/ Farewell (? can't read), a short farewell/ Till we shall meet again above/ In the sweet groves where pleasures dwell/ And trees of live bear fruits of love/ There glory sits on ev'ry face/ There friendship smiles in ev'ry eye/ There shall our tongues relate the grace/ That lead us homeward to the sky.
