Born in Quito, Ecuador, he is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Carol Mora, son, Shawn Mora and wife Lingli Tian of Seattle; sister, Angela Betancourt of San Pedro, CA and brother, Pedro Mora of Victoria, BC. He also leaves 3 stepchildren, 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was a resident of Newton and Martha's Vineyard for the past 30 years.
A graduate of Northeastern University, he served honorably in the US Army and was employed as an engineer with Verizon for over 20 years.
He loved tinkering and Martha's Vineyard, sailing, and watching sunsets from his front porch.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton.
