Alan Armani, 80, of Solvay, passed away peacefully Tuesday at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Solvay to the late Lawrence and Alice (Galante) Armani in 1936 and was a graduate of Solvay High School. Al worked many years with his dad at Al's Service Station. He later worked as a mechanic for the Town of Geddes Highway Garage for many years before retiring. Al enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Armani) DeGilio, of Solvay; niece, Nancy DeGilio, of Solvay; nephew, George DeGilio, Jr., of Solvay and many cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:45 am Saturday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Friday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay.
