Hon. Arnold C. Scherr died at his home in Charleston on Sunday night after being in ill health for several years. Mr. Scherr was well known in this city, having resided at Maysville for a number of years. He represented this county in the legislature and was a leader of the Republican forces for many years. He was auditor of the State for two terms and was prominent in politics.
He is survived by the following children, Mrs. F. B. Babb, of Keyser, Miss Katie Scherr, A. E. Scherr and Bernard Scherr of Charleston, J. Walter Scherr of Louisville, Ky., and Attorney Harry Scherr, of Williamson, also his second wife and one daughter.
