Jacob Flickner, 91, former Stoneboro district coal miner, died at 9 am today, Oct. 10, 1952, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George Dignall of Yankee Run Road near Sharon. He was born in Sandy Lake July 4, 1861, son of Hiram and Katherine Flickner.
He spent most of his life in that area. His wife, former Lydia Billig, died several years ago.
Besides Mrs. Dignall, he leave three other daughters, Mrs. Ida Hedglin, Titusville, Mrs. Bessie Bright, Jackson Center, and Mrs. Herbert Hawk, Franklin; two sons, Jay Flickner, Cooperstown, and Gerald Flickner, Newfane, NY; and a brother, Frances Flickner, Sandy Lake.
Services will be at 2 pm Monday at the Dignall home. Arrangements are in charge of the McConnell funeral home, Sharon.
