ALMA L. ARN, age 94, of Monticello, died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at her home. Alma was born April 26, 1913 in Browntown, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Leatha (Peck) Lueck. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1931 and married Herman W. Arn on September 17, 1935 in Evansville.
The couple farmed in Washington Township until moving into Monticello in 1977.
Alma was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, and the Friendship Circle. She was a former member of the Washington Homemakers, Monroe Moose Lodge, and was a Washington Center 4-H Sewing Leader. Alma enjoyed traveling, sewing, card playing, baking, and gardening.

Survivors include three daughters, 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 20, 1980; a son, Gary Arn in 1946; two brothers, Howard and Kenneth Lueck; a sister, Frances Schroeder; and a son-in-law, John Stauffacher in 2004.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, with Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Alma's name. The VOEGELI-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monticello, is assisting the family.
