Neva was a member of the Ypsilanti Old Regular Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, cooking also catering weddings.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin M. Joye in 1981; brothers, Victor, Tilden, Lester, Clayton, and Paul; a brother-in-law, Victor Caudill, and a great-granddaughter, Eliana Nicole Jackson. She is survived by her six children, Savonda (Allen) Stewart, Edwin "Bud" (Deloris) Joye, Sandra (Richard) Viers, and Timothy (Linda) Joye, all of Belleville, Bobby (Robin) Joye of Manchester, and Victoria Joye-Smith of Willis; twelve grandchildren; four great-grand-children; her brothers, Lowell Anderson, Nolan (Ardel) Anderson, Olan (Lucy) Anderson, Danny Anderson, Jerry (Andrea) Anderson, and Phillip (Jenny) Anderson, and her sister, Audrey Caudill, all of Michigan; a sister-in-law Betty Anderson of KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at the Ypsilanti Old Regular Baptist Church. Interment at the Cherry Hill Cemetery, Canton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Arrangements were entrusted to the DAVID C. BROWN FUNERAL HOME in Belleville.
