Ferdinand J. Barrette, 79, of 313 Dodge St., Kewaunee, who had been living with his daughter-in- law, Mrs. Lucille Barrette, of that address in recent years, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday at a Peshtigo, Wis., hospital after an illness of several months.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Kewaunee, the Rev. Michael Jacowski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Barrette was born Jan. 29, 1881, at Lincoln, Kewaunee County, son of the late Julius and Mary Dellis Barrette. He was lifelong resident of Kewaunee County and was employed at local factories. He married Ursella Grave Jan. 7, 1908, at St. O'Deal Catholic Church, Lincoln. They moved to Kewaunee. His wife preceded him in death in 1959, a son, John, died in 1956 and a brother, Henry, and a sister, Frances, also preceded him in death. Mr. Barrette was a member of Holy Name Society of Holy Rosary church.
Survivors include a son, Ferdinand Jr., of Kewaunee; six grand children and nine great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee, after 2 p.m. Friday until the time of service. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
