A crop of a scanned image taken from an original Miramar Ranch photo (found in UG's house, Huddersfield, March 2014). Taken soon after the Jessop family (Joseph, Mary Carter Jessop and seven children) moved there from their jeweller's shop in Lytham, Lancashire. From left to right as follows (ages are approximate): Armand de Jessop (14), Joseph Jessop (father, 39), Sarah Emma Jessop (19), Richard Jessop (in wheelbarrow, 4), Mary Carter Jessop (mother, 38) carrying baby Linda Jessop (1 - born after their arrival in the US), James Jessop (6), Fanny Jessop (2), Violet Jessop (8) and Alonzo de Jessop (10). The original photo is one of two Miramar Ranch photos that I assume were sent back to the Carter family (Mary's siblings) from the US. Two further children were born later in the US (George Carter Jessop in 1893 and Joseph Edwardus Jessop in 1898).
