NORFOLK--George Frederick Cash, 65, of 3223 Verdun Ave., retired cabinetmaker of Lee's Custom Cabinets, died Tuesday in his home.
He was born in Umatilla, Fla., and was the husband of the late Mrs. Helen Vance Cash. He was a member of Fairmont Park Freewill Baptist Church and Tidewater Coin Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Betty Short of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Inell Hardin Coley of Norfolk, and Mrs. Nina Bruton Phillips of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Martin of Chesapeake and Mrs. Frances Rouch of Johnson City, Tenn.; four brothers, Lawrence Cash and Robert Cash of Johnson City, David Cash of Piney Flats, Tenn., and Willie Cash of Lancaster, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Fairmont Park Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Dale Burden. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, with Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, in charge. The body will be in church at 1 p.m. Friday.
