Mrs. Allie Furr Polk 88 of 125 W. Park Ave. died yesterday at the Oaks Nursing Home in Huntersville.
Graveside services will be at 4 pm tomorrow at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Burnette associate pastor of First Baptist Church officiating.
Born Nov. 3, 1888, in Stanly County she was the daughter of the late Wilson Furr and Sarah Robbins Furr.
Surviving are three sons, Lloyd W. Polk and James C. Polk both of Charlotte and Robert E. Polk Jr. of Neptune NJ; two daughters Mrs. Ruth Polk Schlecht and Mrs. Helen Maxwell of Charlotte; one brother Alonzo Furr of Fort McCoy, Fla.; one sister, Miss Sarah Mae Furr of Pineville; 18 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
