Husband of Fidalma Pieri of Eureka; father of Dolf Pieri of Salinas, Mrs. Fred (Melba) Buckovic of Rio Dell. He is survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pieri was a native of Villa Basilica, Italy. He came to the U.S. in 1910, and had lived in Humboldt County since 1912. He was a veteran of World War I. He had worked as a logger, and then became the proprietor, for 20 years, of the California Fish Market, retiring in 1959. Mr. Pieri was a member of the Sons of Italy, Eureka Lodge No. 1274 Societa De Appenini, and a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Age 80.

Rosary will be recited at Pierce Mortuary Chapel Wednesday, April 3, at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Pierce Mortuary Thursday, April 4, at 10 a.m., thence to St. Bernard's Catholic Church for Mass of the Resurrection commencing at 10:15 a.m.

Active bearers will be Gino Pasquini, Joseph Buckovic, Keith Levitt, Nilo Speziale, George Mori, and Phil Citti. Honorary bearers will be Pietro Tolomei, Joe Mori, Egisto Pecchia and Tom Manfredda.
