In /Affectionate Remembrance /of /JONATHAN ABBEY /who departed this life /November the 30th 1858 /aged 79 years /Also ANN ABBEY /wife of the above /who departed this life 1854/ aged 75 years. /She was interred in St Mary's Churchyard

Gravesite Details

Headstone is very worn and mostly unreadable. The inscription taken from the EYFHS's Monumental Inscription book Part 3 of Dean Road Cemetery. The grave is next to Jonathan Abbey (1814-1882)'s grave who is probably his son by a previous marriage
