Delford Lowe, age 73, of the Smoky Junction Community, departed this life on Friday, November 11, 2020 at the Lafollette Medical Center in Lafollette, TN with his wife, of 52 years by his side. He was born June 18, 1947 in the New River Community to the late Henry and Cynthia Lowe. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his son, Jeffery Lowe; granddaughter, Brianna Kay Lowe; 5 brothers, John Ray, Aaron Alfred, Kenny and Benjamin Lowe; 1 sister, Easter Sexton.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Massengale Lowe; granddaughter, Brandi Lowe; grandsons, Jacob, J.T. and Isiah Lowe; great grandson, Kalvin; great granddaughter, Savannah; 3 brothers, Moses, Silas and Paul Lowe; 2 sisters, Ruth Crabtree and Mary Compton; 6 brothers in law; 9 sisters in law; 2 special friends, Sherwood Hembree and Gertude Hembree; several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Private services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Mr. Lowe will be laid to rest at the Smokey Creek Cemetery.

Pallbeares will be Silas Lowe, Paul Lowe, Tim Lowe, Sherwood Hembree, Jonathan Massengale.

Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville has been entrusted with final arrangements for the family of Delford Lowe.

Due to COVID-19, Governor Bill Lee of the state of Tennessee, strongly encourages that the public celebration component of funerals be postponed or attended only by close family members, and further urges adherence to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) health guidelines to the greatest extent practicable, including social distancing, wearing face masks, and frequent hand washing.
