John Gentz.
After a lingering illness, Mr. John Gentz, son of Mrs. Caroline Gentz of Snyder, passed to rest on Sunday, April 17, 1910, at the early age of 29 years. His birthplace was at Snyder, where nearly his entire life had been spent. He had many friends who will sorrow to hear of his death. Mourning their loss also are his mother, five brothers, Charles, Edward, George, Henry and David Gentz and one sister, Clara Gentz.
The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the family home at Snyder and later at the Eggerstville Lutheran Church, Rev. E. Burk officiating. The deceased’s four brothers, Charles, Edward, George and Henry, carried the remains to their last resting place in the Eggertsville cemetery.
NOTE: Eggertsville cemeteries were relocated to Skinnerville Cemetery.
