Minnie Byl, 90, of Sioux Center died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at Sioux Center Community Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with the Rev. Stephen Rhoda officiating. Burial will be prior to the services Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Byl was born to John and Jennie (Lammers) Addink on March 17, 1912, on the family farm near Sioux Center. She attended country school.
She married John Byl on April 20, 1938, in Sioux Center. They were blessed with three sons before John's death on July 10, 1948. She lived on their farm near Sioux Center until March 1979, when she moved into Sioux Center.
She was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dena Van Riesen.
