GALESBURG - Robert Lynn Wilson, age 65, of 2088 Knox Road 150 E, Galesburg, Ill., died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at 2:06 a.m. at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Ill.
He was born on March 28, 1942, in Galesburg, Ill., the son of C. Robert and Beverly A. Bhear Wilson.
He married Patricia A. McGraw on July 12, 1964, in Galesburg,

Also surviving: sons, Kevin M. Wilson of Galesburg, Ill.,Randy L. (Allison) Wilson of Galesburg, Ill.; grandchildren: Connor Patrick Wilson of Galesburg, Ill.,Victoria A. Wilson of West Virginia, mother: Beverly A. Wilson of Galesburg, Ill.
Preceded in death by his father; one brother: Gary Wilson and one sister: Connie Wilson
He was raised and educated in London Mills, Abingdon and Cherry Grove schools, graduating from Galesburg High School in 1960.
He served in the United States Navy from Sept. 12, 1960, to Sept. 9, 1966, during the Vietnam War on the USS Plymouth Rock LSD. He was a radioman and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He worked as civil service for the Commerce Department and the United States Treasury for 37 years in Washington, D.C.
He was a Boy Scout Leader and did Indian dancing.
He was a member of the Order of Arrow in Boy Scouts Lodge Amangamek-Wipit in Galesburg, Ill.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Ill., the Rev. Gary Bane officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday Oct. 8, 2007, from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Ill.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg, Ill., with military rites conducted by the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285 of Galesburg, Ill.
