Mrs. Droll Dies; Rites Wednesday.
Mrs. Aldred J. Droll, 61 of 1516 Crescent St. died suddenly at her home at 3 am today. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
A lifelong resident of Iowa City, she was born here March 16, 1898, a daughter of William and Mary Starry Goody. She was married to Mr. Droll June 20, 1927, at St. Patrick's church here.
Mrs. Droll was a member of St. Patrick's church and the Altar and Rosary society.
Survivors include her husband, one son, Ronald, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Crossett, all of Iowa City. Also surviving are three brothers, Ralph and Robert Goody, both of Iowa City and Louis Goody, of Stockton, CA. One son, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 9:15 am Wed at St. Patrick's church with burial to be in the new section of St. Joseph's cemetery. The rosary will be at 7:30 pm, Tues at the McGovern funeral home.
