Ray Clatfelter, 89, a lifetime Pueblan, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Dec. 18, 2020. He was born Nov. 25, 1931, to parents, Elmer and Mae Clatfelter, both preceded him in death; along with his wife, Margie Clatfelter; in-laws, Edward Marguerite Pettit; numerous other family members. Ray retired from CF&I and Portec as a draftsman/ mechanical engineer after 40 plus years of service. Ray had a great passion for astronomy, playing volleyball and watching NASCAR. Ray also enjoyed family vacations and family outings in the mountains. He is survived by his son, William (Linda) Clatfelter; daughters, Karen (Glen) Potter and Renee (Ed) Newhall; eight grandchildren; eight great-grand-children, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Ray Clatfelter, 89, a lifetime Pueblano, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Dec. 18, 2020. He was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Pueblo, CO. Ray was a loving dedicated husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. Ray graduated from Pueblo, Centennial High school in 1950. Ray retired from CF&I and Portec as a draftsman/mechanical engineer after 40 + years of service. Two of his proudest drafting/mechanical engineering accomplishments were the escalator at D.I.A and the Spiral conveyor at Jack Daniels Distillery. Ray had a great passion for Astronomy, playing volleyball and watching NASCAR. Ray also enjoyed family vacations and family outings in the mountains. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mae Clatfelter, mother-in-law and father-in-law Edward and Marguerite Pettit, wife, Margie Clatfelter, infant daughter, Susan Clatfelter, son in law, Ken Lebon, granddaughter, Stacy Clatfelter, sister in laws, Elizabeth Pettit and Carol Smith and family; brother in law, Rev. Edward Pettit and Donald Kay. Survived by son, William (Linda) Clatfelter; daughters, Karen (Glen) Potter, Renee (Ed) Newhall; 8 grandchildren, Carrie (Abram) Guevara, Christopher Lebon, Megan (Dave) Rooks, Sara (Tom) Ford, Travis (Alicia) Ford, Kelsie (TY) Robbie, Joey (Cherri) Pachak and family, Johnny Pachak and family; 8 great grandchildren, Justin, Abbi, Jonah, Rhett, Levi, Blaze, Elias and Raegan; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. At his request, cremation has taken place at a later.
