He was born on June 25, 1940 in Coal Hill, AR to the late Joseph and Emogene Adkins.
Ronnie was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was a brick mason for many years and was a hard worker.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Craig Adkins; a sister, Shirley Williams and a brother, Jerry Adkins.
There will be a private family committal of his ashes at Steep Hill Cemetery, cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Mary, of the home; two sons, Matt Howard (Dana) and Jake Howard (Robin) and four grandchildren; Trevor Howard, Austin Parker, Britt and Sierra Ozeroglu.
