Anna Doherty, 96, of 53 Steuben St., a housekeeper at parish rectories, including St. Jude's in Lincoln, St. Edward's in Providence and St. Catherine's in Warwick, retiring in 1966, died Tuesday at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. She was the wife of the late Charles Doherty .
Born in County Roscommon, Ireland, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Brennan, she lived in Providence most of her life.
She leaves a son, Thomas J. Doherty of Providence; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held on October 3rd from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Oxford Street. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
