Lessie Lyle Schneider from Hot Springs, SD, died Tuesday, June 22, 1982, at the Veterans Home in Hot Springs. Lessie was born April 21, 1890, at Custer, SD. the daughter of Charles and Lady Emma Parker.
She married Wesley N. Schneider December 25, 1919, at Upton, WY. The couple lived in Wyoming, Custer, and Hot Springs.
Lessie was a member of the Assembly of God Church, a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary 3442 of Custer, Custer Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Hot Springs.
She is survived by one son, Wesley Arnold Schneider of Custer; one daughter, Evelyn Brauner; two grandsons, three granddaughters, five great-grandsons, and four great-granddaughters, and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, and one brother.
Services for Lessie will be held Friday at South Dakota State Veterans Home Chapel with the Rev. Peter Dahlberg officiating.
Burial will be in the Veterans Home Cemetery under direction of McColley Chapel of the Hills. A memorial has been established to the chapel.
