Elizabeth Davis was born in 1796. Her family had descended from the Mansard John family who emigrated from Wales to Philadelphia in 1709. She married Reuben Blue on April 12, 1820. Tragically, both Elizabeth and husband Reuben died before all their children were raised, leaving three small children orphaned to be taken care of by the three older ones.
