3 MONTHS - 18 DAYS
TRAYLOR, Frederick (Freddy) Eugene, infant son of Ira Kanada and Bessie Rebecca (Grauser) Traylor passed away on January 31, 1939 at the age 3 months and 18 days. He was the fourth child, third son. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles Winfield and Catherine Jane (Jenny) Grauser: (nee: Reed) and his paternal grandparents: Willard Harrison and Lona (Black) Traylor. Besides his parents he is survived by 1 sister, Marilyn Virginia and 2 brothers, Harrison Charles and Arthur Barrett. He was born during the Great Depression and since money was a problem, his casket was placed on top of his maternal grandmother Jenny (Reed) Grauser. That was a great idea for it was like he was placed in her loving care. We all felt better about that. The picture of Freddy was a blessing. Just two weeks before Freddy passed away a man came around in the neighborhood taking pictures as they did back those days. My mother told him she couldn't afford it but the man insisted saying that she didn't have to buy the pictures. He finally talked Mom into it and after Freddy passed away, she was so afraid that the photographer wouldn't come back with the pictures since she was so negative about it, and she didn't even know his name. Miracle of miracles, he did return, and it was the only picture taken of Freddy. We didn't even have a snapshot since mom and dad couldn't afford a camera.
