Family information for Guwohida Stofel, the maternal grandmother of George W. Bushyhead ("Bushyhead, Jr.") is found in two sources:

(1)
https://catalog.archives.gov/id/56688538
Eastern Cherokee application number 27119 for George W. Bushyhead ("Bushyhead, Jr."), son of George Bushyhead ("Bushyhead, Sr.").
--Question 7 states his father was a half-blood, but this only means there were white ancestors in his genealogy (Ludovic Grant, William Emory, and then the white husbands of William Emory's daughter, Susannah Emory).
--NOTE: See question 19, which lists the "half-blood" children of Nancy Bushyhead.
--Questions 7 and 10 list Ka-ha-it-ah as his mother (this agrees with the page 7 witness testimony of Samuel Candy, and corrects question 16 where Ka-ha-it-ah is incorrectly listed as his grandparent on his mother's side)
--Questions 7 and 16 list Nancy Bushyhead (of Tennessee per question 16) as his paternal grandmother. Emmet Starr's genealogy (top of page 306) lists the wife of Bushyhead as "Nannie Foreman" ("Nannie" is a nickname for Nancy, I believe)
--NOTE: The bottom of page 331 of Emmet Starr's genealogy (see below) lists the children (beginning with Georgia Ann) of George Bushyhead, Sr. and Guwohida Stofel. We know this is Bushyhead, Sr. because it is the son of Nannie ("Nannie" is Nancy, the paternal grandmother of Bushyhead, Jr.). However, these children are not those listed on question 19 (see below) as the "half-blood" children of Nancy Bushyhead, so I have determined that these are the children of John Davis [Sr.] (Find A Grave memorial 35993362). This is confirmed in Eastern Cherokee Application 9684 for John Davis, Jr.
--NOTE: Bottom of page 331 of Emmet Starr's genealogy has an extra digit ("1.x") in the numbering sequence for Georgia Ann Davis (1.1, 1.2, 3.3, 1.x, 1.4, 3.5, 1.6). Since these are not the same children for Nancy Bushyhead as given in Bushyhead Jr's, application 27119, I wonder if this "1.x" means Emmet Starr cut and paste these children to the wrong family tree? (No computers back then)).
--Question 9, lists Bushyhead Jr.'s wife as Martha Bushyhead, aged about 50 years. NOTE: Emmet Starr (see below) lists his wife as Guwohida Stofel, so I assume Emmet Starr's information is incorrect.
--Question 15 lists "Ofield" as a half-brother. I assume this is the son of Susannah Emory and her second husband, Richard Fields (see page 305 of Emmet Starr's genealogy).
--NOTE: If "Ofield" is the son of Richard Fields, and he is a half-brother, then this supports the belief that Susannah Emory's first husband, John Stuart, is the father of Bushyhead (Bushyhead, the husband of Nancy, and grandfather of George W. Bushyhead of Eastern Cherokee application 27119)
--Question 16, lists "Ka-ha-it-ah" as his grandparent on his mother's side (However, questions 7 and 10 list Ka-ha-it-ah as his mother. Also, page 7 witness testimony of Samuel Candy testifies "Ca-yah-he-tah Stoffel, or Horn" is the mother).
--Question 19 lists the seven "half-blood" children "of whom my father was one" (George Bushyhead Sr., Jesse Bushyhead, Isaac Bushyhead, Jacob Bushyhead, Charles Bushyhead, Susan Bushyhead, "and one other aunt whose name I do not know" (assumed to be Nancy Bushyhead)).
--NOTE: bottom of page 331 of Emmet Starr's genealogy lists the children of George Bushyhead, Sr. and Guwohida Stofel (Georgia Ann Davis, Samuel Tate Davis, Susannah Davis, Daniel Davis, Cicero Davis, John Davis, (continuing on page 332), Jennie Saphronia Davis, and Robert Lee Davis). This list does not include George W. Bushyhead (Bushyhead, Jr.), but these are the children of John Davis, Sr. (Find A Grave memorial 35993362) as confirmed in Eastern Cherokee application 9684 for John Davis, Jr.

Emmet Starr, "History of the Cherokee and Their Legends and Folk Lore", 1921.
--Emmet Starr's genealogy (referenced below) shows Guwohida Stofel as the wife of George Bushyhead, Jr., but she is the wife of Bushyhead, Sr.
--Emmet Starr's genealogy (referenced below) shows Nancy Foreman as the wife of George Bushyhead ("Bushyhead, Sr."), but Nancy is the mother of Bushyhead, Sr.
(This note is duplicated above in Bushyhead Jr.'s application 27119 information).

--Guwhoida Stofel was actually "Bushyhead, Jr.'s" mother, not his wife, per George W. Bushyhead's ("Bushyhead, Jr.'s") Eastern Cherokee application number 27119. Variations on the spelling of her name are "Ka-Ha-It-Ah" and "Ca-Yah-He-Tah".
