Allen Dale Simmons, 72, of Fredonia, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Neodesha Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neodesha, Kansas. Dale was born July 8, 1948 in Eureka, Kansas, to Raymond and Grace (Lovely) Simmons.

Dale graduated from Fall River High School in 1966. He married Mary E. Simmons on August 16, 1969 in Fredonia, Kansas and they were later divorced.

Dale worked as a welder for Halliburton for many years and at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas, for 14 years until his retirement in 2003. He moved to Fredonia, Kansas where he attended the Calvary Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed music, especially gospel and country and western, and was a talented piano and harmonica player. He could play most any song he knew without music, especially hymns.

Dale was survived by his children, Dala (Doug) Loomer, Independence, Kansas, and Gayla (Phillip) Creek, Everett, Washington, three grandchildren, Emily Loomer, Logan Loomer and Jaidyn Creek, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James (J.R.) Simmons, Donald Simmons, sisters; Doris Evenson, and Joyce Simmons, who died in infancy.

Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Fredonia City Cemetery.
