Originally a Ballet performer, Christopher Gable became an actor in 1968 after arthritis forced him to retire from dancing. His acting career between 1968 and 1989 included an appearance in the Doctor Who story The Caves of Androzani in 1984. He was made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 1996.
