Mrs. Annie Burchell 82 of 5 Nelson Lane, Glace Bay died at the Glace Bay General Hospital Monday (6 Jan 1969). She was a patient in the institution since September. A native of Louisbourg, Mrs. Burchell resided here the past 60 years. She was a member of St. Mary Anglician Church. Her husband Ernest died 1945 and a son died the following year. She is survived by a daughter (Margaret) Mrs. Steve MacDonald; ten sons John; Daniel; Joseph; Howard; Alexander all of town and Ernest of Toronto; Arthur, Sarnia; William, Windsor, Ont.; Leonard, Halifax and Robert, Winnipeg, a sister Mrs. Catherine Chambers, Boston, Mass. There are 35 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. The remains are resting at V.J. MacGillivray Funeral Home 16 Reserve St. and burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.
