John C. Blair, 65, of Cranberry, Franklin RD 2, employed as a truck driver for a furniture store in Sharon, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday in the Franklin Hospital.
He was born on March 22, 1907 in Slab Furnace, Cranberry Township, a son of John W. and Ella Hendershot Blair.
His first wife, the former Anna Butonic, is deceased. He was married to Mary O. Griffin Badgett in Warren, Ohio on Aug. 20, 1971, who survives.
Mr. Blair was an associate member of the Franklin VFW. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. William (Bettie) Cole and Mrs. Louis (Janet) Piciacchio of Sharon; one son, John W. Blair of Dunedin, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ronald (Charlane) Scalf of El Cajon, Calif.; three brothers, Clarence M. Blair of Victory Heights, Franklin RD 2, Mont F. Blair of Stoneboro and Homer F. Blair of Farrell; also 12 grandchildren. Four brothers, William, Charles, Roy and Fred Blair, and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Gilson, Mrs. Minnie Scott, Tillie and Edna Blair, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends at the Leverne L. Burger Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
