A funeral service will be at Porterfield Baptist Church, Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 2:00 PM with the Reverends John Brigmond, David Mullis and Robby Kerr officiating. Ms. Green will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery.

Janette was born June 12, 1925 to the late Homer and Sally Stokes.
She is survived by one son, Joseph D. Green, Sr. (Lucile), two daughters, Elaine Joyner, Sheriel Veader (Steve); three grandchildren, Wendy Joyner, Donnie Green, Kenneth Green; three great grandchildren, Annalyn Green, Ella Kate Green, Ava Jane Green; one sister, Ann Croft; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Joseph Green.
Janette was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Janette was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church where she took part in the WMU. She loved planting and attending to her flowers and shrubs. Janette’s therapy was working in her yard and this was evident in the love shown in the care of her yard.
