Rosa Muñiz, 64, of Slaton, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021. Graveside services were Monday (Feb. 1) at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements were under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Rosa was born on June 25, 1956 in Mexico to Dario and Sabina Barron. She lived in Mexico until the age of 16 when she moved to South Texas and soon met Francisco Muñiz. They married about three years later and moved to Slaton. They celebrated 47 years of marriage. She was one of the best cooks ever and often shared her food with her neighbors. She loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her father; and her daughter, Veronica Muñiz.
