Educated at St. Paul's Church School. Employed as a motor driver. Married. Enlisted February 1915. Died at home, 42 Springwood Street, from the effects of gas poisoning, 10.12.1920.
Brother of Private Albert Edward Battye, killed in action, 13.5.1915, q.v.
