Joseph T. Murphy, 807 N. Main St., Pittston, died in General Hospital Tuesday morning.
A native of Pittston, he was employed as a conductor for Lehigh Valley Railroad until his retirement 10 years ago. He was a veteran of World War 1, serving overseas with the Army in England and France. He was a member of St. Mary's Help of Christian Church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Granahan; son, Francis, at home; brothers, Dr Thomas Murphy, Pittston; Dr Michael Murphy, West Pittston.
Funeral will be from Donnelly Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, Friday at 9:30 with Mass in St. Mary's Help of Christian Church at 10 Burial will he in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Friends may call Wednesday 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
