Peggy Long Chandler, 69, of Chub Lake Rd., died Sunday, October 14, 2007, at the Roxboro Nursing Center.
Born in Person County, Mrs. Chandler was the daughter of the late Eugene Hester and Vinnie Wilson Long. Mrs. Chandler retired from Central Carolina Bank. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church where she served in the UMW. Mrs. Chandler was very active in the Cary and Ruth Henderson support group at Duke University Medical Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research.
Mrs. Chandler is survived by her husband, Elliott Chandler; three sons and their wives, Charles and Susan Chandler, of Charlotte, NC, James and Lynda Chandler, of Mechanicsville, VA, and Timothy and Paula Chandler, of Roxboro, NC; and four grandchildren, Whitney Chandler, Hannah Chandler, Elena Chandler and Jadyn Chandler.
